Between Ventoux and Côtes du Rhône, Domaine Champ-Long crafts characterful wines born from a rigorous commitment to organic viticulture.
THE ESTATE
The Domaine Champ-Long is located in the heart of the Rhône Valley, within the Ventoux AOC — a land of contrasts, rich and diverse, nestled in a natural environment teeming with life. In such an exceptional setting, converting the estate to organic farming was a natural step.
Champ-Long has been a family-owned property since 1820. Jean-Christophe GELY and his wife Agnès have taken over from Christian and Béatrice GELY. Together, they continue the tradition of quality and innovation established by the two previous generations.

THE TERROIR
Cultivating our vines organically means, above all, respecting soil life, encouraging biodiversity, and hand-harvesting healthy grapes from an exceptional terroir between Ventoux and Côtes du Rhône.
The estate spans 30 hectares, straddling the appellation areas of Ventoux and Côtes du Rhône. Sheltered from the wind and blessed with exceptional sunshine, our property features a variety of soil types — from sandy plateaus to clay-limestone and stony hillsides.

The estate is certified Organic Agriculture.
Our vineyard is cultivated with deep respect for the environment. We minimize the use of inputs and actively promote biodiversity. Our aim is to restore microbial life in the soil and improve its structure through ploughing and winter earthing-up around the vines. Grass is mechanically removed — we do not use chemical herbicides. Organic fertilizers are favored.
Harvesting is mostly done by hand, in keeping with tradition, allowing for careful grape selection directly in the vineyard.
THE WINES
Vinified using a blend of traditional know-how and modern techniques, our wines are carefully aged and bottled on the estate.
Champ-Long’s white wines are aromatic, lively, and fresh. Our rosés are elegant, delicate, and fruity, while the red wines, rich in fruit, display the generosity, breadth, and power typical of the great Rhône Valley wines. The diversity of our terroirs contributes to the quality and complexity of our wines, offering a subtle and nuanced aromatic palette.
Our wines are regularly recognized by the juries of the most prestigious competitions, including the Concours des Grands Vins de France in Mâcon and the Concours Général Agricole in Paris.
